INTERNET CENTRE

Realizing the immense importance of Internet for educational and research purpose, the internet center was opened in the library exclusively for the students of the University. This center was established on the recommendations and efforts of Prof. Asif Ali G. Kazi (the Ex-Dean, Faculty of Natural Sciences). The opening ceremony of the centre was held on 29 November 2001. The center was inaugurated by Mazharul Haq Siddiqui, Vice Chancellor, University of Sindh, Jamshoro on the occasion. This center is equipped with latest P-IV machines. At present there are twenty computers in the center and more are likely to be added in the near future. To ensure the high speed and better performance of internet browsing, all the work stations are connected through Fiber Optics with the Local Area Network (LAN) and with the local ISP of the University . In order to facilitate the students of the morning & evening, this center works in two shifts i-e morning and evening shift. The center is exclusively for the students. A nominal fee of Rs. 5 per hour is charged from the students who wish to avail the facility of Internet. An internet operator is always present in the center to assist the students.
